Currently, working with the Neotree Project which is being implemented at Kasungu District Hospital and 10 Primary Health Care facilities, aiming to standardise newborn care through a digital platform that integrates data capture, education, and clinical decision support. An Economic Evaluation study is underway to assess the costs associated with Neotree implementation.

I am serving as a Research Assistant on the Neotree Economic Evaluation project. My role involves collecting costs associated with implementing Neotree. Specifically, I am gathering data on start-up costs, programme costs, and implementation costs to inform decisions about the cost-effectiveness of scaling up Neotree to other districts.

I am particularly involved in:

• Conducting interviews with health facility staff and stakeholders to gather information on costs.
• Collecting costing data from health facilities where Neotree is being implemented. This data includes costs associated with personnel (salaries, training, etc.), equipment and supplies (purchase, maintenance, etc.), facility upgrades and renovations, training and capacity building, and other relevant costs.
• Collecting productivity loss data from caregivers of newborns enrolled in the Neotree. (This is still under development.)
