Richard Moyo
Richard Moyo is a Malawian Economist and applied researcher with over 6 years of experience in
evidence-based monitoring and evaluation, economic analysis, and policy-oriented research. He holds a
Collaborative Master’s degree in Economics (Health Economics) from the University of Malawi and the
African Economic Research Consortium, and a Bachelor of Science in Agricultural Economics from
LUANAR. His core expertise spans econometric modeling, impact evaluation, health and environmental
economics, food security analysis, and economic evaluation.
His work covers diverse areas such as, non-communicable diseases, adolescent health, education impact
evaluations, climate and environmental scenario analysis, water and sanitation evaluations, and large-scale
infrastructure resettlement action plans. He is a published researcher in peer-reviewed journals, a reviewer
for the Journal of Hunger and Environmental Nutrition, and a Research Fellow involved in developing
Malawi’s National State of Environment Outlook Report. He is committed to strengthening data-driven
decision-making and generating rigorous evidence to inform inclusive, resilient, and sustainable
development policies in low- and middle-income country settings.
