PROJECT DESCRIPTION
A health technology is an intervention (e.g. test, device, medicine, vaccine, procedure, program, or system) aimed to improve health by preventing, diagnosing or treating medical conditions; promoting health; providing rehabilitation; or organizing healthcare delivery (O’Rourke, 2020). Because resources are finite, not all health technologies can be adopted, and the challenge of improving population health under the constraint of limited resources is common to all countries. A process is therefore necessary to assess the value of alternative and new health technologies and other claims upon resources, and inform decisions about their adoption and implementation.
