Dr. Joe Zonda
Dr. Joe Maganga Zonda is an empirical economist with broad disciplinary interests. He received his Ph.D. in Economics from National Dong Hwa University (Taiwan) in 2023, and his PhD dissertation won the 2023 Best PhD Dissertation Award presented by the Taiwan Economics Association. Prior to joining HEPU, he served as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Department of Economics, National Cheng Kung University, Taiwan.
His primary research interest lies in the application of econometric methods within health economics and macroeconomics domains, with an emphasis on causal inference and policy evaluation. His work has appeared in The B.E Journal of Macroeconomics, Empirical Economics, Estudios de Economia, Journal of Asian and African Economies, and Humanities & Social Sciences Communications, among other peer-reviewed journals.
