- Evaluation of governance, management, and operational structures that influence performance and service delivery in Christian Health Association of Malawi and Islamic Health Association of Malawi health facilities, aimed to inform the Malawi Direct Facility Financing Reform.
- Integration of Christian Health Association of Malawi (CHAM) facilities into the Thanzi la Onse (TLO) all-disease model to strengthen their inclusion in data-driven decision-making and resource allocation processes.
- Political economy analysis of urban mobility in African cities, Lilongwe, Kigali, and Kampala, and their impact on health outcomes.
- Assessment of the financial implications of the United States government funding freeze on Malawi’s health sector, including analysis of funding gaps, service delivery disruptions, and potential mitigation strategies.
- Costing analysis of health service delivery across three facility levels in Malawi: health centre, community hospital, and district hospital
- Assessment of patient access barriers by supporting the evaluation of travel time and indirect costs such as opportunity cost of time lost, food and transport costs associated with seeking outpatient care, based on nationally representative patient exit interviews under the Thanzi La Mawa program.
- Efficiency analysis of contracting Not-for-Profit faith-based healthcare providers for child and maternal healthcare services in Malawi, to inform a memorandum of understanding on Service Level Agreements between the Malawi government and Christian Health Association of Malawi (CHAM).
- Development of the health financing curriculum under Promoting Results and Outcomes through Policy and Economic Levers in Health (PROPEL Health) aimed at strengthening public financial management capacity at the central and district level.
